Play It Forward Golf Tournament Fundraising Event

NextGen was founded with a forward-thinking vision: to make a lasting, positive impact on the future by improving lives and supporting the next generation. At the heart of this mission is the belief that we can build a better tomorrow by investing in meaningful causes today. The Play It Forward Charity Golf Tournament embodies this philosophy, transforming a traditional sporting event into a dynamic platform for social change.

The Play It Forward Golf Tournament is more than just a game; it is a celebration of community, generosity, and shared purpose. This annual event brings together a diverse group of individuals—business leaders, community members, and philanthropists—who are united by their commitment to making a difference. Participants have the opportunity to engage in friendly competition while also contributing to causes that matter.

This tournament is designed to foster connections among like-minded individuals who share a vision of creating positive change. By combining the enjoyment of golf with the spirit of giving, Play It Forward encourages participants to take an active role in philanthropy. The event not only raises funds for vital programs and initiatives but also raises awareness about the importance of community involvement and support.

Ultimately, Play It Forward is about more than just a day on the green; it is about making a lasting impact. Through this event, NextGen Foundation aims to bring people together to support a range of charitable endeavors, from environmental conservation to youth development, health, and wellness. Together, we can drive meaningful change, fostering a future where every individual has the opportunity to thrive. The overwhelming support we received during last year’s fundraising event enabled Next Gen to significantly contribute to the Pasig River Rehabilitation Program, Feeding Metro Manila, and to advance our core initiatives, particularly disaster relief operations and feeding programs.

BENEFICIARIES

INTRAMUROS CULTURAL HERITAGE

The Intramuros Project, led by the Office of the First Lady, is dedicated to revitalizing Intramuros, an iconic historical landmark in Manila. Recognized for its cultural significance, Intramuros serves as a testament to the Philippines' colonial past and indigenous heritage.

The project's primary objective is to preserve and promote this heritage by enhancing the site's infrastructure and amenities. Through initiatives like the construction of the Intramuros Museum, set to debut in the second week of June, visitors will have the opportunity to delve deeper into the region's rich history and cultural legacy. Moreover, the project aims to foster a sense of pride and ownership among Filipinos by transforming Intramuros into a vibrant cultural hub.

By providing a safe and beautiful space for families, communities, and tourists alike, the project seeks to ensure that Intramuros remains a cherished destination for generations to come. Additionally, cleanup drives tied to the Pasig River cleanup project serve to underscore the importance of environmental stewardship in preserving historical landmarks like Intramuros. Ultimately, the Intramuros Project is not only about beautifying a physical space but also about celebrating and safeguarding the cultural heritage that defines the Philippines.

LIFE PROJECT FOR YOUTH

Life Project 4 Youth (LP4Y) is a dynamic international movement committed to the empowerment of marginalized young adults aged 17-24, who are grappling with the challenges of extreme poverty and societal exclusion.

Next Gen aims to forge groundbreaking pathways for the professional and societal integration of these young individuals. This will be achieved through the initiation of unconventional training programs, the promotion of entrepreneurial ventures, and the implementation of health and wellness initiatives. By fostering a collaborative environment, NextGen aims to unlock the potential of youth, equipping them with the tools to thrive and contribute positively to their communities.
